Lifted Hands, Inc. is a non-profit social foundation established 15 years ago by Mr. Moses Okaro.
The core goal of the foundation is to alleviate the sufferings of widows and the less privileged, and to empower them to become self-reliant.

Our Vision

Lifted Hands, Incorporated envisions a healthier lifestyle across the world, where no one is denied care due to poverty or circumstances. We aspire to build a community where preventable diseases are eradicated, access to medication and surgery is universal, and mental health is valued as a vital part of overall well-being. Through compassion, volunteer service, and sustainable healthcare initiatives, we aim to create lasting change and establish a model of hope and healing for communities across Africa.

Our Mission

At Lifted Hands, Incorporated, our mission is to extend compassion and healing by providing free access to life-saving medications, essential surgeries, and preventive health services to underserved communities across Africa. We are dedicated to addressing critical health challenges such as diabetes, malaria, high blood pressure, and mental health issues, empowering individuals to live healthier and fuller lives. Through volunteer service and community partnerships, we strive to uplift the most vulnerable, reduce health disparities, and bring hope where it is needed most.

Compassion in Action for Ogidi

Lifted Hands Incorporated is a U.S. based non-governmental, humanitarian, non-profit organization dedicated to providing FREE medical, dental, vision, and surgical services and support to the Ogidi in Anambra State, Nigeria. The organization was founded nearly 15 years ago by Moses Okoro, in memory of his late mother, Mrs. Gladys Okoro who passed away in 2012 due to health complications.

AfA is registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on 11 April 2000 and the National Planning Commission in Nigeria on 7 March 2005. AfA is now fully incorporated as a Company Limited by Guarantee without share capital (Company No RC 720437) with the CAC since 29 November 2007. However, AfA has been operational in Nigeria since 2001.

Lifted Hands Incorporated has been able to host 3-day multi-specialty clinics that have served a growing number of people, providing free health services to the under served to reduce the health disparities in Ogidi and surrounding communities for several years. The organization relies on volunteer medical personnel from the U.S. and local practitioners to carry out its mission effectively.

The outreach not only provided medical care but also included educational support, with 1,000 school bags (back packs) and 15,000 notebooks being distributed to the children in the community on one of the outreach days. Many children in Lagos face challenges not only in accessing healthcare but also in receiving a quality education due to limited resources. With your support, we can change that.
